In the Springtime of Life

In this new section, I introduce to you some of the things I just stumbled upon or something new but an old information that I haven’t really shared. A feature about present and past movies, TV series, people, make-up, and anything and everything under the sun.

Anywayzzz, I initially wanted to write about a book. But then I’m not yet done with it and so I thought of this comedy-drama show created by Darren Star (the same person responsible for Sex and the City) that was launched just last week: Younger.

“Liza (Sutton Foster) is a 40-year-old recently divorced mother looking to get a job, which proves difficult for a woman of her age. After a compliment from a much younger man Josh (Nico Tortorella), she decides to get a makeover, courtesy of her best friend Maggie (Debi Mazar), in order to look like she is in her mid-twenties. Ultimately, she becomes an assistant to Diana (Miriam Shor) in a publishing firm, who pairs her with co-worker Kelsey (Hilary Duff).” source: Wikipedia

The plot is interesting, isn’t it?

I’ve always dreamed of working in the publishing industry (or advertising and TV, media in general). If I was told that I looked that young and it can put me back to my dream job (and score a really hot guy!!), why not? Lies are still bad, I admit.

Although I didn’t really see her on the teaser, one of the reasons why I found it more amusing is because my childhood/tween hero is part of the cast, Hilary Duff a.k.a. Lizzie McGuire! The last time I saw her act was when she guested on Gossip Girl. I honestly haven’t watched that particular season. I’m a weird fan like that.

New York and a job in a publishing firm? My dream job! Just like the movies The Devil Wears Prada (I’m not sure if i’ll survive such a monster boss though LOL), Confessions of a Shopaholic (minus the big spendings), and 13 Going on 30 (but it won’t be a dream!).

I’m currently downloading the third episode while waiting for my family to finish taking a bath and getting ready. We’re going to Pasig where my father’s side of the family is in. One of his brothers is moving to the United States for good. Also, my sister, who’s on a vacation right now for only a few days, wants to visit them.

I think they’re calling me already. Hee hee! Bye! ;)
